Today you will use the movies and websites on the links page to explore the Sonoran desert.
You have been given three data sheets to record some of the things you have found. You will record information about the climate, plants, and animals on your data sheets.
On each page include color illustrations and three or four sentences about the date sheet topic.
Your data sheets will count as part of your grade. Make sure you do your best work.
Day 2
When your data sheets are complete you will use the information you have gathered to write a short essay. Your essay should say whether or not you would like to visit the Sonoran desert. You will have a chance to share your work with your classmates, so make it interesting.
Start with a rough draft.
Make sure you say whether or not you would like to visit the Sonoran desert. Give at least three reasons from your data sheets to support your opinion. For example: I would like to visit the Sonoran desert so that I can search for a gila monster.
Have a classmate read your essay and check for correct use of capitals, punctuation, and spelling.
Write your final copy in your neatest hand writing.
